Youth Guarantee

The Youth Guarantee is a government commitment to help young people aged 18 to 21 access education, apprenticeships, training and support to find work. Support is delivered locally through Jobcentre Plus and partner organisations, helping young people build skills, gain experience and move towards employment.

Support could include:

• Apprenticeships and training

• Careers advice and guidance

• Work experience opportunities

• Employment support

• Help if you're not currently in education, employment or training (NEET)

Jobs Guarantee

As part of the Government's wider plans to support young people into work, eligible young people claiming Universal Credit may be able to access additional employment support and paid work opportunities through the Jobs Guarantee.

You may be eligible if you:

• Are aged 18 to 21

• Have been claiming Universal Credit for 18 months or more

• Are not currently in work or learning
