Since Cornwall Marine Network was established in 2002, the team has supported 5,115 people into new jobs and apprenticeships, having won and delivered £42 Million of project funds, all of which have added around £500 Million of value to Cornwall’s economy.

CMN’s Apprenticeship provision is designed with businesses in mind, with a true workplace learning model, offering greater flexibility and less disruption over the day-release model. CMN apprentices are workers that study, rather than students that work.

Our services to employers

CMN can support apprentice recruitment and confirm suitable Apprenticeships for a business.  CMN can then help with the on-boarding process. This includes conducting skills scans and initial assessments.  Confirming candidate suitability/eligibility and exploring any support needs.

 

Once the Apprenticeship commences, we assign an assessor who regularly visits and builds an e-portfolio of evidence, providing on and off job training and makes regular reviews. The apprentices learning can take place online or through face to face visits and various assignments. Our assessors provide regular reviews and support the business and learner through the entire process.
