What Are Skills Bootcamps?

Ensuring your workforce is equipped with the right skills is essential for business growth.  Skills Bootcamps, part funded by the UK Government, are just one of a range of ways to help you to skill up your workforce, boost productivity, and unlock the full potential of your employees.

Skills Bootcamps are intensive training courses, designed to quickly develop employees with in-demand skills. Skills Bootcamps are short, targeted, and tailored to address the skill gaps in various sectors. They focus on practical, industry-relevant skills, ensuring employees gain knowledge and expertise that directly benefits your business.

19+ Skills Bootcamps are open to employees from the age of 19. Whether you have new recruits or long-standing team members, if they need specific skills relevant to your business, they can participate. Skills Bootcamps are especially beneficial for those looking to upskill or reskill in response to evolving industry demands.
16 weeks Skills Bootcamps are short-term training courses (up to 16 weeks), delivered in collaboration with employers and training providers. Each one focuses on hands-on, practical training, empowering participants with skills they can immediately apply in their roles.
90%* *Up to 90% of fees covered. For existing employers, employers contribute to the cost of training. Large employers contribute 30% of the cost, and small or medium employers (SMEs) contribute 10%. There is no cost to employers who recruit individuals who have completed a Skills Bootcamp, and the courses are free to anyone who is unemployed.
