Introduction

The Springboard Charity powers the CareerScope Hospitality Hub, which features everything you need to start or progress your career in hospitality, including useful information about the industry, practical careers advice, free skills training, financial and well-being support and access to more than 30,000 live jobs and apprenticeships.

Springboard runs the Hub with 3 key aims:

  1. To advance the life and education of those under the age of 25, through the provision of advice, training and skills courses.
  2. To relieve poverty and unemployment by assisting people to secure jobs in the hospitality sector.
  3. Tackle ongoing problems the hospitality, leisure and tourism industries face, including staff and skills shortages and misrepresentation about what a fulfilling career they offer.

What we do

Working nationally across the UK, our work is built around three key areas:

  • Face to Face and Digital Employability training programmes.  Helping disadvantaged people gain soft and hard skills, industry insight, and work placement opportunities.  Leading to overall improved wellbeing, enhanced employability, and transition to positive destinations including employment or training.
  • Education programmes.  Working with schools, colleges and universities to enhance curriculum teaching delivered to students.  Helping them gain industry insight and skills development required for the transition from education to employment
  • Careers resources and advice.  Providing specialist careers activities online, face-to-face and at careers events.”

What others say about us

"What I liked most about the course was how well organised and planned it was. Everyone got a chance to speak up, and the interactive games and quizzes were fun. I also appreciated the useful tips for job hunting and the training sessions on improving skills and communication, led by our delivery manager. Now that I am now employed as a Food and Beverage Assistant at my local Council. I'm excited to use the tips and tricks I learned during the programme at work. Thanks to Springboard, I feel well-prepared for the next steps in my career."
