Description

The first five sessions of this course will focus on project learning for beginners to introduce the fundamental skills needed to create jewellery from metal. You will learn how to use tools safely and effectively, while creating four or five pieces of jewellery. There is then the opportunity to design and create your own pieces using the skills you have learned and with support from your tutor. The course's later sessions will include lessons in different types of jewellery making or technique skills to further learning for those who have already established the basic skills of metal smithing. We will work predominantly in sterling silver, but may also experiment with copper and brass. Please note this course involves using various tools that may require strength and dexterity.
