Finding Employers Who Offer Work Experience
In most cases you will need to find work experience yourself. This involves asking people you know, so includes work experience coordinators, if you are still at school, teachers, lecturers, a careers adviser, your jobcentre work coach and friends and family if they know of anyone willing to give you work experience in their company.
You could work with a family business or with a member of your family providing they have the relevant insurance levels (Employers and Public Liability Insurance).
Some larger employers offer work experience opportunities. They give information on how to apply through their websites.
As well as using your contacts, use online job websites to find employers who might offer work experience. Write a covering letter or email to companies explaining that you are seeking work experience and send them your CV or visit and ask them in person.
