Cornwall Employers Invited to Help Shape the Future of Work
Local employers are invited to take part in a half-day workshop exploring workplace recruitment, inclusion, workforce health and employment support.
Cornwall Council and Setecc will bring together employees for Keep Cornwall Working: Inclusive Employment Workshop to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing businesses across Cornwall, while contributing to the Government's Keep Britain Working agenda.
The event will provide employers with practical insights into how workplace inclusion, health and wellbeing initiatives can support recruitment, retention and productivity. Attendees will hear directly from local businesses that have benefited from inclusive employment strategies and support programmes, sharing real-life experiences and lessons learned.
The workshop will also showcase emerging employment initiatives, including Connect to Work, WorkWell and Youth Guarantee, helping employers understand the support available to both businesses and employees.
Designed as an interactive session, the event will give employers the opportunity to discuss workforce challenges, exchange ideas with peers and partners, and explore innovative approaches to supporting people to stay in work, return to work and thrive in the workplace.
Why attend?
Employers attending will have the opportunity to:
- Explore ways to reduce staff turnover, sickness absence and recruitment pressures.
- Learn from local employers who have successfully supported staff wellbeing, retention and return-to-work pathways.
- Find out more about emerging employment support programmes and how they could benefit their business.
- Connect with other employers and organisations working to improve workforce participation and workplace health.
