Introduction
We are Step into Learning, an Ofsted Good independent training provider, offering courses designed to open up new opportunities or career pathways from our base in Launceston, Cornwall
We specialise in working with learners looking to open up new career pathways, or those looking to get back into work.
As an independent training provider, we offer small group sizes, a more relaxed learning environment and tailored study programmes.
We have offered study programmes for 16-18s (or 16-24s with an EHCP) since September 2023.
September 2025 saw the introduction of our Step Into Skills study programme and an increase in learner enrolments. We are excited to launch our Step Into Supported Internships study programme in academic year 2027-28. Our programmes equip learners with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to advance in their personal and professional lives.
Step Into Skills
A one-year study programme designed to help learners build confidence, independence and work-readiness, while preparing for employment, supported internships or further learning. Our pathway choices in term two allow learners to choose to focus on creative, business or sustainability skills, depending on their strengths, interests and career aspirations.
Who is this course for?
This qualification is suitable for:
- Young people aged 16-18
- 16-24s with an Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP)
All learners may have the opportunity to complete the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, a nationally recognised programme that develops confidence, teamwork, resilience and personal achievement.
Step Into Supported Internships
A one-year study programme designed to help learners develop workplace skills in a real employment setting, with tailored support. This course is for young people ready to take their next steps towards sustainable employment. Achieving this qualification could result in job offers.
In the workplace element of this qualification, learners will be supported by a job coach, enabling this to be a meaningful and personalised experience and the on-site training element of the qualification will be aligned to individual learning goals.
This pathway can be a progression from the Step Into Skills study programme.
