The Compass UK & Ireland Supported Internship at HMS Raleigh offers young people the opportunity to gain practical, work-based experience in a structured and supportive environment within a real workplace.

The programme focuses on three main areas:

• Facilities Management: Supporting the day-to-day running and maintenance of the site, helping develop organisational, teamwork, and practical skills.
• Retail: Working in on-site shops or outlets, building customer service, communication, and cash-handling skills.
• Hospitality: Assisting in catering and food service settings, gaining experience in food preparation, service, and maintaining hygiene standards.

Interns receive on-the-job training, ongoing support from job coaches, and opportunities to build confidence, independence, and employability skills. The aim is to help participants move towards sustained paid employment by developing real-world experience in a large, professional setting.
